Service Description

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) massage is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has a powerful effect on the body. Since MLD can help relieve inflammation and edema (fluid swelling) and drain toxins and fluid from the hoof, it can reduce discomfort and speed recovery from tendonitis, laminitis, founder, and hoof abscess. The MLD massage detoxes the body by draining the excess fluid out of the lymphatic system. Some of the benefits of this natural detoxifying technique: - Improves immune system function - Improves lymphedema - Removes excess fluid thereby reduces stocking up and wind puffs - Removes excess toxins, waste, and bacteria from the body - Improves energy levels - Accelerates muscle regeneration - Stimulates digestion - Reduces stress - Reduces pain and/or improves overall comfort levels - Improves allergies (that aren't infectious) and drains sinuses - Reduces swollen sheath - Increases range of motion - Reduces pain from tendonitis, founder, laminitis, and hoof abcess - Aids in post surgery or post injury recovery (with approval from veterinarian) It is not unusual for a horse to feel a bit under the weather right after an MLD massage as the toxins that have been stored in the body start circulating again in order to exit the body. Note: Despite the many benefits of equine massage, the practice is not recommended as a substitute for veterinary care. Multi-treatment discount is available
